UPM thesis help on this page follows the order the School of Graduate Studies works in: a notice three months ahead, an examination committee, one PDF for examination, then one PDF again after Senate. Universiti Putra Malaysia sets things other universities do not, such as up to three SDGs under your abstract and a lower similarity cap for one school. We write and revise chapters, build the abstract pair and answer examiner corrections. For examiner reports specifically, see our viva corrections help.
Independent service — no university affiliation. ThesisHelper Malaysia is a private academic support provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by or officially connected to any university, college or examination body shown above. All institution names and marks remain the property of their respective owners and appear here only to describe the proposal formats and submission requirements our writers work with.
Six points in the SGS requirements that catch Universiti Putra Malaysia candidates near the end.
SGS asks for an abstract of 300 to 500 words in both English and Bahasa Melayu, with up to five keywords and up to three Sustainable Development Goals. Candidates who copied the abstract format from a journal paper usually have keywords but no SDGs at all.
The SGS requirement caps the thesis title at 20 words. Long titles that list every variable, the population and the state are common in survey studies, and trimming one late means checking it against what was registered.
SGS sets a Turnitin similarity limit of 25% or less, and 20% for students in the School of Business and Economics. A business candidate working to the general 25% figure can arrive at submission five points over without realising it.
The GS-14a notice goes to your Faculty's Deputy Dean (Graduate Studies) at least three months before you intend to submit. The examination committee is only nominated after that, so a late notice pushes everything back by the same amount.
SGS wants one PDF containing front matter, Chapter 1 onwards, references, appendices and the student's biodata, in that order. Separate files per chapter, or a biodata page placed before the references, mean the file is sent back.
The SGS format is white A4 with 25 mm at the top, right and bottom and 40 mm on the left. Templates from journals or other universities rarely match, and the error repeats on every page that was pasted in.
Has SGS or your Faculty already queried your submission? Send the query and the PDF. We sort format issues from content issues before anything is rewritten.
Send the Query →Scoped to your stage in the SGS route and to your Faculty's own practice, which we ask you to confirm.
Both versions written from your findings within 300 to 500 words, with up to five keywords and up to three SDGs chosen because your study actually addresses them, not because they sound relevant.
A4, 40 mm left margin and 25 mm elsewhere. Double spacing for text, single spacing for footnotes, long quotations, references, multi-line captions, appendices and headings, as SGS lists them.
Front matter, chapters, references, appendices and biodata compiled into a single file in the order SGS requires, checked for broken figures and fonts after conversion.
If your title is over the SGS cap, we draft shorter versions that keep the variables and context, for you to agree with your supervisor before anything changes on the forms.
Chapters written or revised against your supervisor's comments, with checkable sources, and kept inside the SGS length range for your level: 12,000 to 50,000 words for a master's, 20,000 to 100,000 for a PhD.
Passages close to sources are rewritten properly from the source, with citation, until the report reads as your own synthesis. We work to your school's figure, 25% or 20%, but cannot promise a number.
Examiner corrections answered in the text and logged in a list of corrections, the document SGS asks for with a GS-15b resubmission for examination.
Chapter 4 built from your own data in SPSS or similar, with tables written up in the style your field expects, and Chapter 5 tied back to the objectives you registered.

Start With a Free Check →Six points from SGS pages, in the order you meet them.
If you plan to submit, the GS-14a goes as a hard copy to your Faculty, School or Institute's Deputy Dean (Graduate Studies) at least three months before the intended date. Nomination of your examination committee can only start after that, and it needs approval at Faculty level and by the University Graduate Studies Committee.
Submitting the thesis for examination on GS-15a is permitted only once the Thesis Examination Committee has been endorsed by the University Graduate Studies Committee. Finishing the thesis early does not let you skip that wait, which is why the notice timing matters so much.
The Turnitin similarity report for examination must be 25% or less. Students in the School of Business and Economics work to 20% or less. Check which figure applies before you start reworking, because the target changes how much needs rewriting.
The examination copy is a single PDF: title page and front matter, Chapter 1 onwards, references, appendices and biodata of the student, in that order, sent with the required documents to the SGS thesis email. If an examiner asks for a hard copy, extra blank sheets go at the front and back.
If the examination outcome requires the thesis to be resubmitted for examination, the form is GS-15b, and it goes in with a list of corrections. A clear correction list that points to pages saves the examiners time and saves you a further round.
From October 2025, final submission after Senate approval is a PDF sent by email with GS-16b, copying your main supervisor and your Faculty's Deputy Dean. Hardbound copies are no longer required, and SGS asks you not to put a password on the file.
Which form are you stuck at?Tell us the form number and we will tell you what the document behind it needs.

Chapters still open and supervisor comments outstanding. We revise one chapter at a time against the comments so that, three months after the notice, the thesis is actually ready for GS-15a.
Content settled, document not yet in SGS shape. We set the layout, build the abstract pair with keywords and SDGs, and compile the single PDF in the required order.
The committee has the thesis. We run a mock panel on the method and contribution chapters, where examiners tend to press, and help you prepare a clear opening summary.
Examiner corrections answered in the text and logged in a correction list, whether the outcome needs a GS-15b resubmission or only corrections before GS-16b.
Rules differ more than people expect. USM wants its PDF password-protected while SGS asks for no password, and UKM uses its own referencing style. See the USM thesis page, the UKM thesis page or our IIUM thesis help.
If your chapters are final and only the layout, numbering and PDF need work, a formatting job is smaller and cheaper than thesis help. Our thesis formatting service prices by length and handles SGS margins and spacing.

We pick SDGs that your objectives and findings support and tell you why each one fits. Three loosely related goals under an abstract invite an examiner question you then have to answer.
We ask your school before reworking. A School of Business and Economics thesis has a lower cap than the rest of UPM, and working to the wrong figure wastes a revision round.
Timelines are set against GS-14a, committee endorsement and GS-15a, not against an abstract deadline. You know which week each chapter needs to be final.
Every source we add is real and traceable, and we flag any entry already in your list that we cannot find. No reference is added just to make a literature review look longer.
Each examiner point is answered in the text and listed with the page number, which is the list SGS asks for alongside GS-15b.
We never email SGS or your Faculty for you. You stay the author, the signatory on every GS form, and the person who presses send.
A.R. was a master's candidate in the School of Business and Economics with a survey-based study analysed in SPSS. The committee had been endorsed and the GS-15a date was close. The Turnitin report showed 25%, which A.R. had been told was the UPM limit, but the school's own figure is 20%. Most of the overlap sat in Chapter 2, where definitions and theory descriptions followed the original wording too closely, and in the method chapter, where instrument descriptions had been copied from the source scales. The abstract was 640 words with keywords but no SDGs, and the title ran to 26 words. The PDF had been assembled as five separate chapter files.
We rewrote the Chapter 2 passages from the sources, keeping every citation, and rewrote instrument descriptions in A.R.'s own terms with the scale origins cited. The abstract pair was cut to under 500 words each, with two SDGs A.R. could defend. Three shorter titles went to the supervisor, who picked one. The chapters were compiled into one PDF in SGS order.
The next Turnitin report came back under 20%, and A.R. submitted GS-15a on the planned date. The title change was agreed with the supervisor before submission, and the PDF went in as a single file.

Send Your Report →An 820-word abstract in English only, written for a journal, with seven keywords and no SDGs.
English and Bahasa Melayu versions within 300 to 500 words, five keywords, and two SDGs tied to the objectives.
The front page now matched what SGS lists.
Six Word files, references inside each chapter, biodata at the front, and a left margin of 25 mm throughout.
One PDF in SGS order with a single reference list, biodata at the end, and a 40 mm left margin on every page.
One clean file, in the order SGS asks for.
Two examiner reports with overlapping comments, and a candidate unsure which ones had already been addressed.
Merged comments into one list, answered each in the text, and logged every change with its page number.
Examiners could check each point against a page.

PhD theses are quoted by agreement after we read the proposal and progress reports. We cannot promise a similarity figure, an examination outcome or SGS acceptance; your committee and SGS decide those. AI detectors can misfire on human writing, so we write by hand and keep drafts. For a master's thesis at any university, see our master's thesis help.
The first submission and format check is free. One chapter revised against supervisor comments starts at RM 320, the abstract pair with keywords and SDGs at RM 360, and layout plus the single SGS-order PDF at RM 430. Examiner corrections start at RM 660, a mock viva at RM 810, and a full master's thesis at RM 1,980. PhD work is quoted by agreement.
The SGS requirement is an abstract of 300 to 500 words in both English and Bahasa Melayu, with up to five keywords and up to three Sustainable Development Goals. We write both versions from your findings rather than translating one into the other, and pick SDGs your study can actually support.
SGS sets the Turnitin similarity limit for examination at 25% or less, and at 20% or less for students in the School of Business and Economics. We rework passages to bring the report down properly, but we cannot guarantee a figure, because the result depends on your sources and Turnitin's database.
SGS asks for the GS-14a to reach your Faculty, School or Institute's Deputy Dean (Graduate Studies) at least three months before you intend to submit. Your examination committee is nominated only after that. We can help get chapters ready in those three months, but the form is yours to file.
Not quite. SGS permits the GS-15a submission for examination only after your Thesis Examination Committee has been endorsed by the University Graduate Studies Committee. A finished thesis waits for that endorsement, which is why we plan your chapter deadlines from the GS-14a date.
SGS asks for a single PDF in this order: title page and front matter, Chapter 1 onwards, references, appendices, and the student's biodata. Separate files per chapter or biodata in the wrong place are common reasons for a return. We compile the file and check fonts and figures after conversion.
White A4, with 25 mm at the top, right and bottom and 40 mm on the left. Text is double-spaced. Footnotes, long quotations, references, multi-line captions, appendices and headings are single-spaced. We set this at the start of revision so new pages arrive in the right format.
SGS sets 12,000 to 50,000 words for a master's thesis and 20,000 to 100,000 words for a PhD, excluding tables, figures and appendices. If you are over, we usually find the excess in repeated background across Chapters 1 and 2, and in a discussion that restates results.
The SGS requirement caps the title at 20 words. If yours is longer, we draft shorter options that keep the key variables and setting. Agree any change with your supervisor first, because the title appears on forms and must match across them.
No. SGS states that from October 2025 the final thesis after Senate approval is sent as a PDF by email with GS-16b, copied to your main supervisor and your Faculty's Deputy Dean, and printed hardbound copies are no longer required. SGS also asks you not to password-protect the file.
GS-15b is the SGS form for resubmitting a thesis for examination, and it goes in with a list of corrections. We answer each examiner point in the text and log it with a page number, which gives you the list the form requires.
Yes. Some of our writers work in academic Bahasa Melayu, and we receive Bab 1 to Bab 5 requests in BM regularly. The abstract still needs both languages under SGS rules, so we write the English version properly as well.
No. We are independent and have no affiliation with UPM, SGS or any Faculty. The rules on this page come from SGS pages UPM publishes. Your Faculty may add its own requirements, so we always ask you to confirm them.
