IIUM thesis help on this page works from the IIUM Thesis Manual that the Centre for Postgraduate Studies publishes, with its separate English and Arabic templates. International Islamic University Malaysia front matter has pages other universities do not ask for, including an Arabic abstract page, an approval page signed by the examiners and a choice of three copyright declarations. We write and revise chapters, build the preliminaries to the template and answer viva corrections. If your proposal is not yet approved, start with our research proposal writing instead.
Independent service โ no university affiliation. ThesisHelper Malaysia is a private academic support provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by or officially connected to any university, college or examination body shown above. All institution names and marks remain the property of their respective owners and appear here only to describe the proposal formats and submission requirements our writers work with.
Six points in the CPS materials that International Islamic University Malaysia candidates miss.
The English template places the English abstract first, then the Arabic abstract headed ู ูุฎุต ุงูุจุญุซ, then a Malay Abstrak marked optional. Each sits on its own page under its own heading, between 200 and 500 words, and none runs past one page.
The template gives three copyright declarations: one held jointly by the student and IIUM, one held by IIUM, and one held by the student. Candidates often keep the sample version without checking which one their sponsor or Kulliyyah expects.
There are separate approval pages for master's and PhD, with lines for supervisor, co-supervisor, examiners and chair. The external examiner line is removed if none was appointed, a detail that is easy to leave in by accident.
Body text is Times New Roman 12, justified, at 1.5 spacing with no extra space between paragraphs. Cover, title, approval, declaration, copyright and contents pages use single spacing, so a document set to 1.5 throughout looks wrong in exactly those places.
The template uses dissertation for modes that include coursework and thesis for research-only modes. A coursework-mode candidate who copies a friend's research-mode title page carries the wrong word into the submission statement.
CPS publishes amendments for Arabic theses: the title page wording differs by mode, the university is written as ุงูุฌุงู ุนุฉ ุงูุฅุณูุงู ูุฉ ุงูุนุงูู ูุฉ ุจู ุงููุฒูุง, and repeated footnotes follow set forms such as ุงูู ุฑุฌุน ููุณู. Older Arabic samples still circulate with the earlier wording.
Has your Kulliyyah sent the thesis back for format? Send the comments and the file. We separate template faults from content faults before anything is rewritten.
Send the Comments โScoped to your Kulliyyah, your mode and the template language you are using.
Margins of 2.5 cm top, bottom and right with 3.8 cm on the left, Times New Roman 12 body, 17 pt uppercase cover and title text, five heading levels, and page numbers in the footer 1.3 cm from the bottom edge.
Title page, abstracts, approval page, declaration, copyright declaration, optional dedication, acknowledgements, contents and the standard lists, including cases and statutes for law candidates.
We write the English abstract and, if you need one, the Malay Abstrak. The Arabic page is set to the template's Traditional Arabic layout from your Arabic text, which you or your supervisor confirm before it goes in.
The right approval page for your level, examiner lines matched to your committee, a signed-and-dated declaration, and the copyright version you choose, set in the template's fixed text box size.
Chapters written or revised against supervisor comments, with real sources, kept within the CPS word limits: 25,000 for a research paper, 50,000 for a master's and 100,000 for a PhD, main text only.
One consistent style agreed with your supervisor. CPS publishes Arabic bibliography and footnote guidance in APA and Chicago forms, and we apply the 1.2 cm hanging indent the template sets for reference entries.
Arabic terms in an English thesis spelled the same way on every page, with diacritics intact. The guideline accepts AHT Times New Roman for transliteration, so we keep the font from breaking those characters.
Each correction from the panel answered in the text and logged by page in a response table, ready for your post-viva supervisor to check within the correction period.

Start With a Free Check โSix points from CPS and Kulliyyah documents that shape an IIUM thesis.
CPS publishes an English thesis template in Times New Roman and Arial versions, and a separate Arabic template with its own format guideline and sample. The Arabic set comes with amendments that change title page wording, section names and footnote forms, so the language decision affects the whole document.
The English template lists an English abstract, then the Arabic ู ูุฎุต ุงูุจุญุซ, then an optional Malay Abstrak, each on its own page. Abstracts run 200 to 500 words. The Arabic one is set in Traditional Arabic at 16 or 18 pt with a 20 pt bold heading.
After the declaration comes a copyright page in one of three versions: joint between student and IIUM, held by IIUM, or held by the student. The text sits in a fixed box of 22.10 cm by 14.6 cm, and the sample year in the template is a placeholder to replace.
IIUM's viva voce guidelines give the candidate 20 minutes to present, then about 30 minutes of questions per examiner, extendable if needed. Supervisors attend as observers and speak only if the chair allows it, so you answer on your own.
The viva guidelines set five outcomes: pass; pass with minor revisions, six months; pass with major revisions, six to twelve months; resubmission with or without viva, twelve to eighteen months; and failure. A post-viva supervisor is designated for the correction period.
CPS counts publications in PE points: indexed journal 1, non-indexed journal 0.7, indexed proceeding 0.6, and 0.3 for posters and similar. A master's by research needs at least 0.6 PE and a PhD at least 2, with one from an indexed journal. Engineering sets higher minimums.
Which of these is holding you up?Tell us the point and your Kulliyyah, and we will tell you what the next page needs.
Ask About Your Point โFour stages where IIUM candidates usually ask for help.
CPS describes a proposal of around 4,500 to 6,000 words with title, objectives, problem statement, literature review, methodology, work schedule, significance and references. We revise each part against your supervisor's comments.
Chapters settled but the document has never been set to the template. We build the preliminaries in order, the abstract pages, and the approval, declaration and copyright pages for your level.
We rehearse a 20-minute presentation with you and run a mock panel on the questions examiners usually press on, method and contribution, with each examiner's turn timed.
Corrections answered in the text and logged by page, planned against the six-month or six-to-twelve-month window, so your post-viva supervisor can check them as they come in.
IIUM's template is unusual. USM puts the Malay abstract first, UPM asks for SDGs under its abstract, and UM works by faculty guideline. See the USM thesis page, our UPM thesis help or the UM thesis page.
A resubmission result, with or without a second viva, gives twelve to eighteen months and usually means restructuring, not editing. Our viva corrections service explains how we scope that work before we quote.

Work with Wai โSix things that change when the work begins with the CPS manual.
We start from the CPS template in your language and font, not a converted file from another university. Margins, heading levels and the page-number position come from the template, so they do not need fixing at the end.
We write English and Malay. For the Arabic abstract or an Arabic thesis, we set the layout to the Arabic guideline from your text and ask that you or your supervisor confirm the Arabic. We do not pretend otherwise.
Arabic terms in an English thesis keep one spelling and their diacritics across every chapter. A search for each term before submission catches the variants that creep in across years of drafting.
Every source we add is real and traceable, including classical works cited by edition. We flag any entry in your own list we cannot find, rather than leaving it for an examiner to discover.
Six months for minor revisions goes quickly when the candidate is working. We plan the corrections in batches your post-viva supervisor can check as they arrive, instead of one delivery at the end.
We never sign, submit or contact CPS or your Kulliyyah for you. The approval page, declaration and copyright page stay yours to sign, and the thesis stays yours.
S.F. was writing a master's thesis in English on tazkiyat al-nafs and the use of khutbah and digital content among university students. The chapters had been revised twice against supervisor comments and were close to final. The document had started from a senior's file from a coursework programme, so the title page said dissertation, the approval page was the PhD version with an external examiner line that did not apply, and the copyright page still showed the template's sample year. There was no Arabic abstract page. Body text was double-spaced from another university's template, with a 2.5 cm left margin. Transliterated terms such as tazkiyah appeared in three spellings, and the Arabic diacritics had broken in the font.
We moved the content into the current English TNR template and rebuilt the front matter in order. Title page and declaration were changed to thesis, the master's approval page was used without the external line, and S.F. chose the joint copyright version. We wrote a new English abstract under 500 words; S.F.'s supervisor supplied and checked the Arabic version, which we set to the template. Every transliterated term was standardised and the transliteration font restored.
The thesis went to the Kulliyyah in the current template and came back with no format comments. S.F. collected the signatures personally, and the transliteration list we left with the file was reused for the corrections after viva.
Is your thesis built on an old file?Send it before the Kulliyyah check, not after.
Send Your File โPass with major revisions, two long examiner reports, and a candidate working full-time with the twelve-month limit in view.
Corrections split into four batches by chapter, each answered in the text and logged by page for the post-viva supervisor.

PhD theses and resubmission cases are quoted by agreement after we read the examiner reports. We cannot promise a Kulliyyah decision, a viva outcome or a similarity figure. We write English and Malay, and we set Arabic text to the template rather than writing it. AI detectors can misfire on human writing, so we write by hand. See our PhD thesis help for doctoral work generally.
The first template and front-matter check is free. Approval, declaration and copyright pages start at RM 280, one chapter revised against supervisor comments at RM 320, and abstract pages to the IIUM template at RM 380. Post-viva corrections start at RM 650, a mock viva at RM 800, and a full master's dissertation or thesis at RM 1,950. PhD work is quoted by agreement.
CPS publishes a separate Arabic thesis template, format guideline and sample alongside the English templates, so Arabic is clearly provided for. Whether your programme allows it is a question for your Kulliyyah. We set Arabic documents to the template, but the Arabic writing itself should be yours or checked by your supervisor.
The English template lists an English abstract, an Arabic abstract headed ู ูุฎุต ุงูุจุญุซ, and a Malay Abstrak marked optional, each on its own page. Each is 200 to 500 words and no longer than one page. We write the English and Malay versions and set your Arabic version to the template.
The template offers three versions: copyright held jointly by the student and IIUM, held by IIUM, or held by the student. The choice can depend on your sponsor or Kulliyyah, so ask your supervisor. Whichever you pick, replace the template's placeholder year with your own.
The template uses dissertation for modes that include coursework and thesis for research-only modes. The word appears on the title page and in the declaration, so a candidate who borrows a file from another mode often carries the wrong one through. We check both places.
The Times New Roman guideline sets 2.5 cm at the top, bottom and right and 3.8 cm on the left. Body text is Times New Roman 12, justified, at 1.5 spacing, with cover and title pages in 17 pt uppercase. An Arial template is also published.
The CPS template does not name one style for every Kulliyyah. Its Arabic bibliography and footnote guidance covers APA and Chicago forms, and the English examples follow an APA-style layout. Agree the style with your supervisor; most English enquiries we see use APA 7th.
CPS sets main-text limits of 25,000 words for a research paper, 50,000 for a master's thesis or dissertation, and 100,000 for a PhD, excluding footnotes, figures, tables, appendices and bibliography. Some Kulliyyahs publish their own ranges as well, so check yours.
IIUM's viva voce guidelines give the candidate 20 minutes to present, followed by about 30 minutes of questions from each examiner, which can be extended. Supervisors attend as observers and speak only if the chair allows. We rehearse both the presentation and the questions with you.
Under IIUM's viva guidelines, minor revisions have six months, major revisions six to twelve months, and resubmission with or without viva twelve to eighteen months. A post-viva supervisor is designated for the correction period. We plan the work so corrections reach that supervisor in batches.
CPS counts publication in PE points. A master's by research needs at least 0.6 PE and a PhD at least 2 PE, including at least one indexed journal paper. The Kulliyyah of Engineering sets higher minimums. Confirm your own requirement with CPS, because it depends on your regulation and intake.
We keep transliterated terms consistent across the thesis and stop the font from breaking diacritics; the guideline accepts AHT Times New Roman for transliteration. Which transliteration system to follow is your Kulliyyah's or supervisor's call, and we apply the one you give us.
Some of our writers work in academic Bahasa Melayu, and we regularly receive BM requests, including Bab 3 methodology for Islamic studies. CPS publishes English and Arabic templates, so check with your Kulliyyah that a Malay thesis is permitted in your programme before we start.
No. We are independent and have no affiliation with IIUM, CPS or any Kulliyyah. The rules on this page come from documents CPS and Kulliyyahs publish. Your Kulliyyah may add its own steps, so we always ask you to confirm them.
