About ThesisHelper Malaysia โ€” And What We Will Not Do

We are a small academic support company in Kuala Lumpur working almost entirely with Malaysian postgraduates. This page covers who runs it, how it operates, and the work we turn down โ€” which tells you more about a company than its mission statement does.

The Background

Why This Exists

How it started

ThesisHelper Malaysia began in 2018 as two academics doing weekend editing for postgraduates they knew. The pattern that pushed it into a business was how similar the problems were: capable students, real research, and a methodology chapter nobody had ever taught them to write.

Malaysian postgraduate education is unusual in how many students are working full time. A lecturer completing a doctorate while carrying a teaching load, a nurse doing a Masters on shift rotations, an engineer whose employer part-funded the degree. These are not students who lack ability. They lack uninterrupted hours, and no amount of motivation manufactures those.

The other thing we kept meeting was supervision that had run thin. Not bad supervisors โ€” overloaded ones, carrying fifteen or twenty candidates each. A student can wait five weeks for feedback and then receive four lines of it.

What we settled on

Three decisions from those first two years still define how the company runs.

  • Specialists, not generalists. Someone with a doctorate in your field, not a competent writer working outside theirs.
  • Publish what we charge. Enquiry-gated pricing exists to give the seller an advantage. We put the rates on the site instead.
  • Say no out loud. Impossible deadlines, work that would misrepresent data, and enquiries better solved by a conversation with a supervisor all get declined.

How We Operate

Six Rules We Run On

Not values on a wall. These are decisions we have had to defend to students who wanted us to do otherwise.

๐Ÿ‘ค

Every specialist is named

You are told who is handling your work, their qualification and their institution, before you pay. An anonymous panel is convenient for the company and useless to the student.

Named before you pay

Prices are published

Every rate is on the pricing page. You should be able to decide we are too expensive without giving us your email address first.

No enquiry gate
๐Ÿšซ

We decline work

Roughly one enquiry in twenty is turned down: undeliverable timelines, requests to fabricate results, or students who would be better served by talking to their supervisor. We say which.

Nothing is generated

No AI drafting, at any stage. Specialists sign to it and delivered work is screened. This costs us speed, which is exactly why it is worth stating.

Human-written only
๐Ÿ—ƒ๏ธ

Your work is never reused

No sample library, no adapted chapters, no dataset reuse. It is also why we cannot show you a real thesis before you order โ€” the same rule protects you.

We explain, not just deliver

Work comes back with a note on why the decisions were made. You have to defend this in a viva, and a chapter you cannot explain is a liability regardless of how well written it is.

You defend it, so you learn it
The Limits

Work We Turn Down

Most companies in this market list what they offer. This is the other half, and it is the more useful half.

We will not

No exceptions, regardless of the fee offered.

  • โœ•Fabricate data, results or interview transcripts
  • โœ•Sit an examination, viva or defence in your place
  • โœ•Log into your university portal or submit on your behalf
  • โœ•Write to your supervisor pretending to be you
  • โœ•Guarantee a grade, an award or a publication acceptance
  • โœ•Take an order we do not believe can be delivered on time

We will

This is where academic support genuinely helps.

  • โœ“Structure and write chapters from research you are actually conducting
  • โœ“Analyse your data and explain what the output means
  • โœ“Translate vague supervisor feedback into a revision plan
  • โœ“Edit for clarity and academic tone without changing your meaning
  • โœ“Format to your faculty guideline and fix referencing
  • โœ“Prepare you for the questions a panel is likely to ask

Longer guidance on doing this yourself is published free on our blog โ€” including a walkthrough of how to write a literature review.

About FAQ

Questions About Us

Yes, registered and operating from Kuala Lumpur. Registration details and an invoice are provided with any order โ€” useful if your employer is part-funding your studies and needs documentation.

No. We are an independent private company with no affiliation to, endorsement from or partnership with any university, college or examination body. Institution names appear on this site only to describe the formats we work with.

Most do not. The majority hold academic or research posts and take on a limited number of students alongside that. It is why capacity is finite and why we sometimes decline an urgent order rather than pretend otherwise.

Mostly through the existing panel. A qualification check comes first, then a paid trial piece reviewed by a senior specialist in the same field. Roughly one applicant in eight gets through.

You should not, on the strength of a page like this one. Check what is checkable instead: published rates, named specialists with verifiable qualifications, reviews that are not uniformly five stars, and a written scope before you pay. Those are the things that are hard to fake.

Work in progress is completed and delivered, and unstarted deposits are refunded. We have not had to do this, but it is a fair question about a service you are paying in advance for.
