Our AI content editing service is for the chapter you built with ChatGPT, Gemini or a paraphrasing tool and can no longer fully stand behind. A human editor opens every reference, removes the ones that do not exist, corrects claims that sound right but are not, and puts your own sample, setting and findings back where the generic sentences sit. We do not disguise AI text or promise a detector score. If you used no AI and your own writing was flagged, our false-positive AI removal work is the right job instead.
Independent service โ no university affiliation. ThesisHelper Malaysia is a private academic support provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by or officially connected to any university, college or examination body shown above. All institution names and marks remain the property of their respective owners and appear here only to describe the proposal formats and submission requirements our writers work with.
Six faults that come back again and again in ChatGPT-started chapters.
A chatbot will produce an author, a year, a journal and a DOI that all look correct and lead nowhere. Some entries blend two real papers. Others cite a real article for a finding it never reported. Once a penyelia opens one dead link, they start checking every other entry.
Lines such as 'studies have shown' or 'it is widely accepted' arrive without a citation because the model had none to give. Examiners mark these as unsupported. Each one needs a real source, a narrower claim or deletion, and we tell you which option suits each sentence.
AI writes about 'organisations' and 'respondents' in general. Your Klang Valley nurses, your SME auditors or your Sabah secondary schools vanish. A problem statement without its own setting could belong to anyone's thesis, and supervisors notice that before they notice anything else.
Models mix older statistics, overseas policy and superseded standards into Malaysian chapters. A justification resting on a rule that has since changed falls apart at proposal defence. Every figure about Malaysia needs tracing to a current DOSM, ministry or peer-reviewed source, or it has to come out.
Topic sentence, three supporting points, 'in conclusion', repeated across forty pages. That pattern makes a supervisor suspicious long before any detector runs. It is also why the argument never builds: each section restates the last instead of moving the reader towards your gap.
Many drafts reach us after a paraphrasing tool has already been run over them. Technical terms get swapped for odd synonyms, 'regression' turns into 'backward movement', and citations drift away from the sentences they supported. That has to be undone before any real editing can start.
Not sure how much of your draft is safe to keep? Send it. The diagnostic marks every reference and every unsupported claim before you pay anything.
Get the Free Diagnostic โEight separate jobs, quoted only on the words that need them.
Each entry in your list is searched in Google Scholar, Crossref, the publisher's site and any database your library gives you. Anything that cannot be found is logged as not located, with the search trail, so you can see exactly why it was removed.
A real paper can still be cited for something it never said. We read the abstract, results or relevant section and confirm the sentence matches. Where it does not, the sentence is corrected to what the paper reported, or a better source is found.
Invented references are removed, not hidden. Where the point is worth keeping, we find a peer-reviewed source inside the year window your supervisor set, often 2020 to 2025, supply the link or PDF, and rewrite the sentence around what that source found.
Statistics, dates, policy names, Acts and Malaysian figures are traced to the original publisher. A number that cannot be traced is flagged for you to decide on. Outdated figures are replaced where a newer official release exists.
We ask for your approved title, objectives, questionnaire or data. Generic sentences are replaced with your population, setting, variables and instrument, so the chapter reads as your study and lines up with Chapter 3.
If you have a chapter, a reflection or even a long email written without AI, we use it as the reference for sentence length and word choice. The edit should sound like the person who will answer questions at the viva.
Several Malaysian universities now ask students to declare how AI was used. We help you write an accurate statement of which tools you used and for what, in your faculty's format. We will not help you hide use your university requires you to declare.
Bab 1 to Bab 3 drafted with AI in Malay carry the same faults, plus stiff literal translation from English sources. A Malay-speaking editor checks the istilah, the citations and the flow, and keeps your meaning intact.
Only need the references checked, not the writing?Citation verification runs as its own job. For grammar and flow on text you wrote yourself, see tracked proofreading and editing.

Start With the Diagnostic โSix explainers. University rules quoted here come from each university's own published guideline or policy page.
A language model predicts a likely-looking citation rather than retrieving a stored one. Common surnames in your field, a plausible journal and a recent year combine into an entry that never existed. The fault is built into how the tool works, so telling it to 'use real sources' does not fix it.
UKM's guideline on generative AI says students must not include citations they have not personally checked against the original sources. It also requires prior supervisor approval before GenAI is used in any material part of a thesis, and asks students to keep their prompts and intermediate versions.
UTM's Academic Circular No. 3/2024 asks that GAI use be listed with the developer, tool name, version, access date and URL. It says undisclosed use can be categorised as plagiarism under the university's academic regulations, and that students are responsible for the validity of what the tool produced.
A Universiti Malaya policy page states that where AI is permitted, students must acknowledge and declare how the tool was used. Lecturers may set the permitted level for each assessment, and research data should not go into public AI platforms without a lecturer's or supervisor's permission.
Removing a fake reference, correcting a wrong figure and restoring your own study detail make the work accurate. None of that changes what you are required to declare. If your faculty asks for a statement of AI use, the edited draft still needs one, and we help you write it truthfully.
Detectors estimate probability, change between versions and disagree with each other. Chasing a lower number with synonym tools damages meaning and breaks citations. A supervisor who finds one fabricated reference will not care what the score said. Traceable sources and an argument you can defend are what survive a viva.
Not sure what your own faculty allows?Send the faculty or course AI statement with your draft and we will edit within it.
Ask Before You Edit โRates follow the same per-1,000-word basis as our AI removal work.
Coursework essays, research methodology papers and short reports where ChatGPT supplied the outline and some of the sources. We verify each reference, correct the claims and tie the content back to the rubric your lecturer set. Most need two to three days.
The usual case: Chapter 1 or the literature review drafted mostly with AI, then the student got stuck. We rebuild the problem statement and gap around real sources, and make Chapter 2 support the framework you will defend in Chapter 3.
Long documents where AI was used unevenly across chapters. We map which sections need a full edit and which need only citation repair, so you are not paying the full rate on chapters you wrote yourself. Scope and timeline are agreed after the diagnostic.
For drafts where the writing is yours but the reference list came from a chatbot or an AI search tool. Each entry is checked for existence and fit, mismatches are corrected, and replacements come with working links or PDFs.
That is a different problem with a different fix. A false positive needs the patterns that triggered the detector identified and adjusted, not a fact check, and the removal page above covers it. For how we treat detector results on writing we produce ourselves, read our zero AI guarantee terms.
If most of Chapter 2 rests on references nobody can locate, editing may cost more than starting again. We say so in the diagnostic and quote a rebuilt review through our literature review writing service instead, using sources you can open and read.

Asking another AI tool to check references produces another confident answer. We open the paper, find the page and confirm the claim. Where access is restricted, the log says which entries could not be read in full, so you can check them through your library.
Malaysian supervisors write the same comments on AI-started chapters: no clear gap, no local context, references that do not fit the claim. We edit against those comments and your rubric, not against a detector percentage.
Every deleted reference appears in a removal log with the reason it went. You know what changed and can answer if your penyelia asks where a source disappeared to between drafts.
We never advise leaving out AI use that your university asks you to declare. We help you describe it accurately, which protects you far better than silence if the question is ever raised.
Questions about a removed source or a rewritten paragraph go straight to the editor who made the change, by WhatsApp or a short call, not through a ticket queue.
Sections you wrote yourself that check out are left alone and not charged. The diagnostic separates them before you receive a quote, so the price reflects the real work.
R.O. had written most of Chapter 1 with ChatGPT and then stopped, because the supervisor was known for very high standards and the draft did not feel safe to send. The diagnostic showed why. Several references could not be located anywhere, and two real papers were cited for findings they did not report. The problem statement described employee performance in 'organisations' without naming the banking sector or the country the study was set in. Figures on working hours had no source at all. The research objectives in Chapter 1 used different variable names from the questionnaire already drafted for Chapter 3. Nearly every paragraph followed the same three-point pattern, and the gap statement could have been pasted into any work-life balance study.
We logged each reference as found, mismatched or not located, and removed the ones that did not exist. Replacements came from peer-reviewed studies inside the required year range, with links supplied. The problem statement was rebuilt around the banking setting and sourced figures. Objectives were aligned word for word with the questionnaire constructs. R.O. sent an email written without AI, which we used to match sentence length and tone. We also drafted a short, accurate note of how AI had been used, for R.O. to adapt to the programme's policy.
R.O. sent Chapter 1 to the supervisor with a reference list that could be opened entry by entry and objectives that matched Chapter 3. The comments that came back were about scope and argument, which R.O. could answer, rather than about sources.

Get the Diagnostic โA literature review whose theory section cited a textbook edition that does not exist, and two studies with their findings swapped. The student was worried about the AI percentage; the references were the real risk.
Each citation was checked against its source, invented entries removed, the swapped findings corrected, and the theory section rewritten from the theorist's published work.
The supervisor's questions became answerable because every source could be produced.
Bab 2 had been drafted in English by AI and machine-translated into Malay, with evidence only from overseas school systems and no Malaysian studies on the topic.
Literal translations were corrected, istilah aligned with the education field, and the overseas evidence balanced with Malaysian studies the candidate could open and cite.
The chapter finally discussed Malaysian classrooms, the study's actual setting.
An introduction and discussion where an AI search tool had supplied the citations. After reordering, several in-text numbers pointed to the wrong papers in the reference list.
Every in-text number was re-matched to its entry, unverifiable claims cut back, and missing citations added from papers the candidate had already read.
Numbered styles fail quietly; matching each number to its claim caught what proofreading missed.

Prices are per 1,000 words of the sections we actually edit, not the whole file. The diagnostic separates what you wrote yourself from what needs work. We do not promise any AI or similarity score, because detectors change and disagree. If the draft only needs grammar and flow, proofreading costs less. If most of a chapter cannot be verified, a rebuild may be cheaper than an edit, and we will say so. Related rates are on our full price list.
Citation verification and repair costs RM 45 per 1,000 words. A full edit of facts, sources and voice is RM 60 per 1,000 for an assignment, RM 85 for a thesis chapter and RM 110 for PhD or full-thesis work. Repairing humaniser damage is RM 50 per 1,000, and urgent work under 48 hours adds 40%. The diagnostic, up to 5,000 words, is free and shows which rate applies to which sections.
Yes, and that is one of the most common ways these drafts reach us. We check what the chapter cites, keep what is real, and rebuild the background, problem statement and gap around your actual study. Send your approved title, objectives and any Chapter 3 draft, so Chapter 1 leads where your research really goes. You then continue writing from a base you can defend.
AI content removal is for writing that is genuinely yours but was flagged by a detector, or text that needs a structural rebuild after a flag. This service is for drafts where AI tools were part of the writing and the real risk is accuracy: invented references, wrong claims and missing study detail. Many students need only one of the two, and the diagnostic tells you which.
No, and no honest editor can. Detectors estimate probability, change between versions and disagree with each other. We edit by hand so the draft is accurate, specific to your study and written in your voice. That usually changes how the text reads, but the score is not something we control or promise. Our target is a chapter you can explain to your supervisor.
If your university or faculty requires disclosure, yes. Editing does not erase the fact that AI was part of drafting. UKM's guideline asks students to describe the tools, purpose and how outputs were verified, and UTM's circular asks for the tool name, version and access date. We can help you word an accurate statement in the format your faculty uses.
It is the part supervisors and examiners treat most seriously, because a citation to a paper that does not exist reads as fabrication whatever the cause. UKM's guideline says students must not include citations they have not checked against the original. We find every entry that cannot be located, remove it, and either replace it with a real source or rewrite the sentence so it no longer needs one.
Yes, if that is your supervisor's or rubric's window. Replacement sources are chosen from peer-reviewed journals inside the range you give us, and we supply links or PDFs where access allows. Older landmark works, such as the original statement of a theory, are sometimes still needed; we flag those so you can decide with your penyelia.
Yes. A Malay-speaking editor handles Bab 1 to Bab 3 and the literature review, checks the istilah used in your field, and fixes the stiff phrasing that comes from AI translating English sources. Citations are checked in the same way whether the source is an English journal or a Malaysian article written in Malay.
No. AI tools are the reason many of these references are wrong. An editor searches each entry in Google Scholar, Crossref and the publisher's site, opens the paper and reads the section that matters. If a paper sits behind a paywall we cannot reach, the log says so, and you can confirm it through your university library.
Generic usually means the chapter could belong to anyone's study. We replace general statements with your setting, population, variables and instrument, and tie each section of the literature to a specific objective. Where the argument repeats the same three-point pattern, we restructure it so each section builds on the one before. You then read it and change anything that does not sound like you.
It depends on the university, the faculty and sometimes the individual assessment. UM's policy lets lecturers set the permitted level for each assessment. UKM requires prior supervisor approval for GenAI in any material part of a thesis. Read your own faculty's statement, and if it is unclear, ask your supervisor in writing before you submit anything.
A full edit of a thesis chapter usually takes three to five days, and citation repair alone two to four days. Urgent work under 48 hours is possible at a 40% surcharge, depending on capacity. Long reference lists with many entries that cannot be located take longer, and the diagnostic gives you a firm delivery date before you pay.
Yes. Your draft, data and questionnaire are seen only by the assigned editor and are never pasted into public AI platforms. That matters for your university too: UM's policy page tells students not to upload research data to public AI tools without permission. Files are deleted on request once the job is finished.
