What personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what you can make us do about it. Written to be understood rather than to be technically defensible, and governed by the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

ThesisHelper Malaysia is an independent academic support company registered and operating in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. Enquiries about it go to info@thesishelper.my and are answered by a person, not a queue.
When you request a quote: your name, email address, an optional contact number, and the details of your brief — university, level, deadline, subject, and any files you attach.
When you order: the above plus payment records. We do not see or store your card or bank details; those stay with the payment provider.
When you browse: aggregate analytics such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors are located. We do not build a profile of you and we cannot connect browsing to a specific person.
To price your work, to do it, to contact you about it, and to issue an invoice. That is the complete list.
We do not use your data for advertising, retargeting, lookalike audiences or lead scoring. If you request a quote and never reply, you are not entered into a follow-up sequence — no reminder emails, no calls, nothing.
Quote requests that do not become orders are deleted after 30 days. Your files and drafts are deleted 90 days after an order closes. Email correspondence is kept for 12 months. Invoices are kept for 7 years because Malaysian tax law requires it.
You can ask us to delete sooner. Everything except the invoice record goes within seven working days.
Your payment provider, for the transaction. Your assigned specialist, for the work. Nobody else.
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise transfer your data to any third party for any commercial purpose. This is not a preference we could change quietly — it is the basis on which students send us unpublished research.
This site uses only what it needs to function, plus basic aggregate analytics. There are no advertising cookies, no pixels from social platforms and no cross-site trackers.
You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work. Nothing here is gated behind consent to tracking.
On systems located in or accessed from Malaysia. Email and payment processing involve providers who may route data through servers outside Malaysia, which is unavoidable for any business using email at all. We use no offshore data warehouse and no overseas outsourcing of your files.
You may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete it, withdraw consent to being contacted, or ask us to stop processing it altogether.
Email info@thesishelper.my with the request. We respond within seven working days and we do not charge a fee. You do not need to give a reason, and asking will never affect an order in progress.
Files are stored on access-controlled systems, and access is granted by role rather than by seniority. Every specialist signs a confidentiality undertaking before receiving a file.
No system is perfect and we will not claim otherwise. What we can commit to is that if a breach ever affected your data, you would be told directly and promptly rather than learning about it later.
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes and anyone with an open order is told by email. We do not make quiet edits.

No. There is no mailing list. The only emails you receive are about your own order or a reply to something you asked. If you request a quote and go quiet, that is the end of the correspondence.
Yes, for everything except the invoice, which needs a name that matches your payment. A preferred name for correspondence is entirely fine and quite common.
Page views, rough geography, whether a visit came from a search engine or a link, and aggregate counts. We cannot see who you are, cannot identify an individual visitor and do not attempt to.
Only what a transaction requires — amount, reference and your name. We never see your card number; it goes to the provider directly and is never stored on our side.

No, and the distinction is deliberate. This one covers your personal data — name, email, payment, analytics. The confidentiality policy covers your research: your drafts, dataset, topic and the fact that you are a client at all. The second is stricter.
